scenario:

Sometimes you may receive the following message when you try to install Microsoft Office 2010:

Error 1920. Service ‘Office Software Protection Platform’ (osppsvc) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

 

 

 

 

Description:

This issue may occure if Network Access Account doesn’t have the right peromission on:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedOfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform.

Soultion:

1- Open Command Prompt (cmd).

2- Type the following command and press enter:

icacls “C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft
SharedOfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform” /grant “Network Service:F” /t

3- Install Microsoft Office 2010
